Class IV Laser Therapy

Laser therapy is used to reduce inflammation, alleviate pain and speed up the recovery process when dealing with painful conditions or musculoskeletal injuries. At Synergy Laser Nevada, we deploy FDA approved Class IV lasers, which have become the primary standard of care for many injuries.

Benefits of Class IV laser treatment

Class IV lasers have a reach that goes beyond that of other lasers. Sometimes referred to as deep-tissue lasers, Class IV lasers emit far more power and have far greater depth of penetration than other lasers. By definition, a Class IV laser is any laser that produces more than 500 mW of power. Our lasers produce up to 60,000 mW of power.

Ultimately, the success of laser therapy treatment is determined by the number photons of light per unit-time that can be delivered to the deep tissue area. Our lasers are configured at the frequency of 980 nm, which has been found to be the best configuration for achieving deep penetration and positive clinical results. As you can see from the illustration below, Class IV lasers offer a much greater depth of penetration than Class II, Class III and Class III b lasers. We do use some proprietary Class III lasers for more superficial involvements as an enhancement to the Class IV Laser.
